Again and Again

So tired of this news...

Sitting here watching CNN

Thinking, "Here we go again."

Each time I think we'll get along

Some villain goes and proves me wrong

In Oklahoma and Columbine

Aurora, Colorado and Nickel Mines

Young and old, no differentiation

Leading to our own damnation

Tucson, Arizona and Sandy Hook

There doesn't seem an unspoiled nook

9-11 years ago,

Boston today continues the flow 

Bombs and guns in streets, schools and malls...

Where's the "Love your neighbor" that I recall?

I know, bombings, terrorist attacks and school shootings are not the same thing... but aren't they, really? I just can't stand this anymore...

Oh wow this poem brought tears to my eyes. I mean it i am wiping them away now. I agree with you, Love your neighbor is indeed missing from this world. Great write and tribute to those who were unfortunate to be caught in the shootings, and bombings , May god bless all of them

The human race has been killing each other since the beginning of time. It will never end. What's so frustrating in all these cases is the innocent are the targets. One of my cousins was in the building next door in Oklahoma City. He was one of the first to run inside the Federal Building just after the blast to carry out the wounded and dying. I feel your frustration.
