Bravo,
I deeply agree with the sentiment of this piece. Most excellently written as well. The idea that, I can nether hear nor touch, or even really see the expressions of my friends is hard sum into a true friendship. I also think there is a needed anonymity that allows more idealistic free speech. So I stand firmly with this piece and agree, while sifting the thought that for general purposes these interactions have a necessary place. Love this write Rita, very snazzy yet direct and powerful.
Sincerely
Christopher

wonderful write, and i have the same leanings at times, however the preponderance of facades and masks limits me to who i might trust in real "three dimensional" life. do we even know who the hell we are talking with most of the time, online? it begs the question....what does friendship really mean? excellent and fun write, dear Rita!

I love this piece. People aren't meant to be social through a screen, even if that's the most convenient and popular way to do it. (As I say from a keyboard.)
This is even coming from one of the younger generation: most of us feel the same. :) Technology always seems to cause almost as many problems as it solves. I greatly enjoyed this piece. It started off rather...cutesy, almost, and then seemed to grow more powerful and three dimensional as you went on. Not sure if that was the intended effect, but it was a nice touch nonetheless.
