At the Cafe

Everything looks so good...

I’m heading to the Café

to have myself a bite

the tasty morsels that they serve

are really a delight

 

Maybe a sip of warm haiku

with a sweet, honey glazed ballad

a luscious ode, a crisp cinquain,

a zesty free verse salad.

 

Some light and buttery couplets

with a side sonnet and acrostic 

and afterwards, I’ll be naughty

and have that slice of limerick!

I love it! Whimsical and lighthearted, fun and energetic. As always, great rhyming. I really like it. This extended metaphor, or analogy, or I don't know what (I'm not very good with the technical terms) is great. Awesome piece.
