Baseball...

Lush green on the grass,

a bat's boisterous crack,

our Boys of Summer

are finally back!

There's brotherly love

alive on the field

while up in the stands,

a frenzy's revealed

The diamond's aglow

with our team of aces

their swift-winged feet

running the bases

Yes, fan behavior

can be quite erratic;

their only excuse?

They're Phillies Phanatics!

Ok, the emblem drew me in and the poem took me straight to Citizen's Bank Park. Wathcing Rollins and Utley, Howard and Hallady, the crowd, the smells, the pretzels and cheesesteaks and baseball. Go Phillies. I am one of the biggest Phillies fans you will ever find and I am so thirlled I found this wonderful poem.

I actually got to go to Connie Mack Stadium (which you probably don't remember) when I was a very young boy and went to many games at the Vet. I saw Peter Framptons "comes alive" concert at Franklin Field.

Yes I have been to those games..lots of fun though...we always ride by the stadiums when we visit my mother in Aston..when it comes to sports are roots are in Philly.
Hope this is a good year for them and the Eagles.
