Bitter TasteA Poem by Rita L. SevA different kind of bar fightMe I came pouring, surging out My nature burned their tongues
They Their vapid, mindless chatter Spewed forth and corked my soul
Me Embittered for a moment, Let no one taste my words
They Withdrew to fill their vessels With more insipid dregs
Then, I and They stood opposite I gave up ‘give a damn’
Now, They sip shots that satisfy I soak in contentment
