Lady Spring Defiled

Lady Spring Defiled

A Poem by Rita L. Sev

It's her time now,
Attired in her best

But Old Man Winter
Won't let go
Keeps her from getting dressed

In his cold grip
He holds her down
Unwilling to surrender

Perhaps next month
She'll be released
And we will know her splendor
