Black & White

Black & White

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

My favorite waterfowl.

"
How wonderful it is to see
A penguin in his rookery
He waddles around through snow and ice
And of course he's dressed so nice
Yet I often wonder why -
What's the point of a bird that cannot fly?

They are a beautiful creature. Flying is over rated anyway.

I like the flow of this.

Thank you!
Poor penguin! The penguin makes up for his inability to fly by being a superb swimmer, but you are right. Can he truly call himself a bird? Lovely little poem perfect for kids.
