Had a conversation with a colleague the other day about how I still compose EVERYTHING (stories, poems, lesson plans, lists, tests...) in longhand. While I am grateful for technology, I need to feel the pen in my hand, the shape of the words, for the work to be truly 'mine'.

I don't usually smile much before at least 10:00. We aren't all morning people, little bird.

Ahh, but I do love to hear their noise...
There's much truth in this. I enjoyed the easy way that this poem flowed from beginning to end with its rhyme and all. Now I shall write my gift poem entitled " The Busy Sward":
We know that for FACT....your pen can be your best friend, nice one Rita!

Ha, ha, you get a lot done in a day with your pen. You wear me out with that kind of energy! Seriously, great rhythm to this piece. Sounds like Dr. Suess book!
This is so true! :) No matter what new technology is created, the pen shall remain a symbolic love for the devoted poet! I love your rythme and rhythmn so much; very quick and easy off the tongue. Brilliant poem and fantastic idea! XD
