What Comes With Night

What Comes With Night

A Poem by Rita

That night I slept in a salty sea,
Tears that only darkness brings,
They flowed with intensity,
And swept my mind away,
Where it was vulnerable to reality's reflection.

I was trapped in a nightmare,
A creation of my own,
The unpleasant thoughts I packed away,
Little did I know--
For my imagination's cruel amusement.

Labor while the sun is still up,
To excuse your  heart's oppressor,
But brace yourself,
For what flows back when it sets.

I'm a bit disappointed with this one. Changes will probably be made.

This is so dark and sad but very beautifully written...
A very intense piece of writing!

Thanks a lot for participating in "The pain of my lonely nights" :)

I am no big fan of the night me self.
Okay, let me just admit it, I'ma skeerdy cat.
Things that go bump. A tree branch rubbing on
the window, casting strange shadows into my bedroom.
Okay great, now i won't be able to sleep tonight.

Thanks a lot!
Great poem.

Actually I think it is very nice but you will change as you wish to make whatever feelings more clear.
