Eternal Embrace

Eternal Embrace

A Poem by Rita

Sunrise.

I sit in silence,

Enveloped in your arms,

Why? No reason at all.

Brought together,

By the thirst of affection,

We sit still in silent harmony.

The silence of understanding

Surrounds our troubled hearts

And comforts them with it's embrace

So rare and beautiful is the moment

When words are not exchanged

But hearts can tell all.

Sunset.

The content itself in the poem was amazing, but I was particularly impressed by the form of the work. I don't know if you did this intentionally or unintentionally, but the poem (viewed sideways) rises and falls just like the sun imagery that you use within. Highly impressive. Great job on this poem, I really enjoyed it, you managed to capture the comfortable silence that truly does exist when something is right.

I love this piece. It shows the emotional bond between two people who have loved each other for a long time.

for the age you are, and i dint know it before until i just read your profile, i am amazed at your talent, as i always have been and just remember to keep up the most excellent work, as this is yet another example of that...sometimes when we write a teenagers, we let it slack and disappear as we get older...in the interim, the ability can get lost...its NOT like riding a bicycle, lol....

i love the way you started this poem with "Sunrise" and ended it with "sunset"...
thanks for the pineapple! that must be anew feature on this site as i dont recall it before i had left here months ago....guess i gotta play catch up

Beauty of language and imagery interwoven so expertly here.

You have captured the unspoken beauty of love, when no words are required.

Love this Rita, really love it.

I am going to ask my husband to envelope me in his arms now. That sounds so lovely.
