The Beauty of Tears

The Beauty of Tears

A Poem by Rita

Biting her lip,
She tried to fight,
The tears that flowed,
That tragic night,
She held her breath,
Not wanting to breathe,
Shaking her head,
Unwilling to believe,
She pulled her hair back,
From her sunken face,
She shakedly stood,
And began to pace,
She fell to the ground,
And sobbed once more,
Then stood again,
Like once before,
She shut her eyes,
Trying to stop,
The river of tears,
Flowing over the top,
She looked out the window,
Bravely saying goodbye,
Then once more,
She began to cry,
But on the outside,
A stranger looked in,
At the distressed young lady,
With her hand under her chin,
He gave away,
all his devotions,
To this beautiful girl,
Radiant with emotions.
