Stupid Cupid

Stupid Cupid

A Poem by Rita

Cupid shot me with his bow,
Right in the head--don't you know,
But sadly I was overcome with confusion,
Rather than love's brutal illusion.

I stopped to think,
But nothing was thought,
I tried to remember,
But I forgot.

Nothing clicked,
It just drifted away,
The skies were yellow,
And the sun was grey.

Cupid hit me with his bow,
Right in the head--don't you know,
But then one day--I did suppose,
I'll hit cupid right in the nose.
