Rock Angel

Rock Angel

A Poem by Ashley Robel

Angel of despair, carved in rock,
Cry your pebble tears.
No longer can the torment be heard,
For it rests within the center.
Frozen in a time of pain,
The tears, they just keep coming.
But, as your desperate cries continue,
Not a word is heard.
Stay within your sheltered place,
Let time heal your broken wings.
For as your tears hit fallen rock,
A new day, peace it brings.
