Hamlet's Disgrace

Hamlet's Disgrace

A Poem by Ashley Robel
"

This is for the Pagemaster's Challenge # 11, The Shakespeare Challenge.... I wasn't even sure that I'd make it in time...But I guess I did. Anyway, I took my inspiration from the play Hamlet and his want, nay need, for revenge for his father's death.

"

Darkness hath now come to Denmark,

For, my dear Father, you have made your depart.

In one month's time, Mother hath married again.

Her incestuous marriage is laden with sin.

Your own brother now shares her bed,

'Tis the place where he rest his evil head.

He made his dark plans to take your place.

They led him to murder you, to my disgrace.

Now the guilt for his deeds must he feel.

No rest shall he get 'til my vengence made real.

This, truly, was my favorite Pagemaster's challenge. I probably will come up with more for it, if it's okay with you, Jules.

Revenge, thou hast it diminished us all
Twix curl and cuff tis a maudy end to us
All slighted, thee and thou and country men
Beseech'd mud, mud and worm fodder.
Ne'er does the hero rise, debauchery and
Murder's, murder's each and every one.

Hehehehehe.. Please some more some more, I like this challenge as well =)
Loving your write as well.

About
Ever since I was a young girl I have loved to write. This could have stemmed from my own mother's love of such a pass-time and career goal. I have, in the past, written many things. However, I have .. more..
