Hope for a Dream

This is probably one of my shortest works...But I wrote it for my best friend Lena, in Austria. I miss her a lot.

Stars of hope shine in your eyes.

They hold your dreams, there is no lie.

Your eyes have taught me to take flight.

To hold on to my dreams like they were a kite.

Thank you for all that you have given me.

A wonderful friendship and hope for a dream.

i love this poem it is short sweet and simple in all the right ways. yet it is so descriptive and captivating. this is packed with emotion and imagery, i almost wish it were longer but appreciate the length at the same time. such a cool poem, your friend must be elated to read it!
