Shifting Stillness

Shifting Stillness

A Poem by Paige Johnson
"

I made this poems using as many hyperboles as I could...

"

The silent applause drifts

Over the crowded void

That is the shifting stillness

As I creep into deaths willing arms

Streaming dry tears

Darkened my bright face

I loosen my grip

As death holds on tighter

To throw me into its endless cage

In the shifting stillness

Filled by the crowded void

As the silent applause drifts

I like the way you have placed the first line at the end of the poem, going full circle, after the stillness shifted moved it from the beginning.

I see that you have entered this poem in the lost love...(or something like that)...contest! Good luck with your entry!
