Slowly You Wreaked It

Slowly You Wreaked It

A Poem by Paige Johnson
"

A note to those who have broken a heart from the ones who once loved them...

"

I put my heart in your hands

I thought you would protect it

But slowly you revealed your plans

And you completely wrecked it

Carefully you defeated

So I would be unaware

I didn't know I was being mistreated

Hearts don't come with a spare

I can bandadge and sew

But these gashes and mess

Go deep in below

My dreams of a white dress

Dimly dissapeared

Because different words were spoken

As darkness and sorrow neared

My heart has been broken

A broken heart is such a tragedy, and difficult to mend when broken dreams are left to deal with....you have described disappointment in this write that many of us will be able to relate to!
