Trail we Told

Trail we Told

A Poem by Ripple of Aqua
"

With fire and water comes compression and bubbles that melt away into steem.

"
The tide ebbs and pulls.
 Tugging and retching, clutching and releasing,
The secrets of what it knows.
 Memories fade, further and closer, with the light of the moon.
Wane and wax it goes.
Moving forward and cycling;
Filling the air with fragrance of the past,
Hazed and frozen within the space we walk.
 We glance at, away.
 Trail too thick to walk;
Tread and cry.
We each reach to touch,
  But both withhold.
  We wander, we guess,
As the trail winds further, further still.
  Must accept that we will never know.
 The Trail we go, too and fro;
 Never to finish that day we were so bold,
  And now is covered by dust and the cold.

Something that came from a spark.
If not ignited by the passion of the dark.
Something of love, something of desire,
Something that came from a spark.

Something that fell from above.
If not someone that fell out of love.
Something of need, something of want,
Something that fell from above.

Often I read a poem of someones and a line or two inspires one of my own. Those are the poems that I like the best. The ones that inspire me to write on the spot. Such as I did here.

I've just read several poems of passion including this one and this one stuck. Nicely done shimmers of water.
