Window Sight

Window Sight

A Poem by Ripple of Aqua
"

How you watch the outside slip into the damp darkness of its own beauty.

"
The windows cried silently;
There tears freezing into place,
 Before trickling down the pane.
Behind their hooded gaze
The trees weave and twist,
 Dancing with the clouds.
 Bowing low the sun slipped,
Scanning the hills,
 And slowly shrouding the world.
 The color, the movement
Fading memories of the brightness
Into the darkness.

Been a while, and it's a little short but you have to start somewhere. Great to be back. :)

Lovely write. Your words procure a visual within my mind- a sunset, a falling and ever cascading darkness. I perceive as though up until the last line is the physical sunset, whereas the last verse utter darkness as it is is a much more so nihilistic statement (thus "dark"). Regardless, good- word check, though.
