Too Far Away

Too Far Away

A Poem by Ripple of Aqua
"

When you try to align with another, but only find the ice to crack between you both...

"
I'm too far from you.
 I sit here waiting
 And you trip and stumble
I don't know if I'm at the bottom of a ditch.
Or at the top of this hill.

But I am far from your reach;
Only seconds can pass when we align
 Before I leap ahead.
Or you run farther I don't know the rhyme or the riddle,
 Only that I am so far from you;
 I still sleep in the light of the moon
 When you bathe in the sunlight

Too slow,
 Or too fast.
 Too far,
 Or not far enough.
Never together you and I.
So I just stare at the churning sky,
While you smell the dirt,

 And we both wonder
Why there are such things as polar opposites
That can work together.

Personally, I think this poem is pretty great. I know the feelings of wanting someone but having something come between you, and know it all too well.
Your poetry is the entertainment for the living life, a fresh breath of life into the room for the occupied mind :) great work, keep it up

This seems so magical..i was spell bound by the end of it. The softest of voices read it aloud in my head. So mysterious and touching with a desire for a romantic connection that seems awfully difficult to attain. I loved this.

Did i see a hint of death in this piece? If not please correct me. I too share your pain for wanting someone so far away! I can hear her voice in every word of hers I read. I can smell her perfume even though my nose knows not its sent. I can see her in the everyday and I know one day I will make her mine. My Queen is out there waiting for me Her King and I Will Make Her Mine!

Beautiful piece Ripple!

Very good. Personally, I don't think it was your best, but there is no doubt you have an amazing gift. The way you describe things in your poems make them really come to life! Keep it up!

Thought provoking. A vivid expression of the conundrom: so near yet so far.

Excellent, wonderful writing. This struck a chord with me, and I think I know how the speaker feels.
