Under this SmileA Poem by Ripple of AquaA story of changing. Will you be scared when I break down your walls? Inspired by the song: Underneath this Smile by Hillary Duff
Standing on melting ice
Stretching infinitely for miles And then I see you Reaching out your hand While the guitar strings along The hope I've seen before You cave my world in As I dangle here You break the bad habits And undo my pretenses You only see me in my own skin As I hide underneath this smile here Can you save me? Freeze the ice into concrete Give a floor to my dangling feet Crumble the walls around me Rearrange the world around me A drum plays on Disbelievingly in your promises Secrets I keep under your strobe-light Wrapped in my midnight I'm not dreaming Still walking this Earth You don't let me know anything but you Could you be the one to save me? All under this smile My world caves in. © 2011 Ripple of AquaAuthor's Note
