How Everything Falls into PlaceA Poem by Ripple of AquaWill they fit like puzzle pieces?
How I look out side with yearning,
Tearing apart inside to be beyond the glass at the tips of my fingers, beyond the trees that lay in the yards. To a place where no one will watch me, No one will judge me, Where no one could befriend me, And therefore where no one will hurt me. How I wish for a place beyond the glass. But that's how it is in my life. If I try to jump out, I might love the feel of the air or the blood pumping through my veins, But that is the better half of the glass tearing open wounds in my arms and the ground shooting up to break my legs, Leaving me paralyzed. But if I should stay on this side, with nothing but these plain walls and people watching me, I surely will go insane. But which side of the glass will make me happier? This I cannot know. I turn to hear a voice calling me thru the great archways. I am called to make a choice. Will I choose the way of my ancestors who hurt themselves by the ways of other people? Or will I choose to break away? Suddenly the glass breaks under the strain. The air sprayed my face, Wind licking back my hair, A smile spread over my face as I leaped over the windowsill. © 2012 Ripple of AquaFeatured Review
