"

some shady dealings are going down.

"

A young man, no older than twenty, leaned against a car parked along the curb of a row of apartment buildings.  He had a look of impatience on his face and repeatedly checked his the time on his cell phone; he seemed to have been waiting for something for a long time.  A few minutes later a silver car pulled up and the man straightened up, looking irritated.

“It’s about damn time,” he muttered as he stepped towards the car.

He approached the car as its door opened, quickly composed himself and put on his most genial smile. A middle aged man emerged from the car, he wore a suit and tie, his short graying hair was tidy and he carried with him as slim leather attaché case.

“Hello,” the man said, “I assume you are the page, am I correct?”

“Yes, that is correct,” the young man replied, extending a hand to the man, who accepted the gesture and shook his hand, “You may call me Seraph.”

“Seraph?” the man replied, “seems and odd name, especially for a page.”

“Oh,” the page inquired, “why do you say that?

The man shrugged, “It seems contradictory.”

“I suppose, but I believe we having more pressing issues to discuss other than if my name is fitting or not,” Seraph replied, “I believe you have something for me?”

“Of course,” the man said unlatching the case.  He reached inside and pulled out a large orange envelope, “The will is there in its entirety, I havent looked at or altered anything just as you requested.”

“As it should be,” Seraph replied, taking the envelope from the man, “you will be recieving a copy tomorrow.  Don’t make that face, it will be exactly the same a the real thing right down to the grain and weight of the paper. Oh, and another thing, you are aware what will happen if you don’t comply with our contract, right?” The man nodded gravely, and Seraph continued, “Good, then I trust you have recieved the ‘no call list’? Good, and you had better follow it, if you don’t I can’t ensure you or your family’s safety, got it?”
            “Of course,” the man dryly.

“I’m glad we understand each other,” Seraph said with a grin.  He then reached into his coat pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a large stack of freshly printed cash. “I assumed you would want your payment immediately and in full,” he said holding the money out to the man, who readily took and quickly stowed it away in the ataché case and waited for Seraph to dismiss him.  Seraph smiled widely and said cheerfully, “Have a nice day.”
