Sophisticated Nothing

Sophisticated Nothing

A Poem by Rion
"

inspiration taken from an instrumental song I made a few years back. just improvised the title back then, just improvised this poem just now.

"

A speck of dust floats past the window,
A turn of page lets the story continue,
The river of sands fall ceaselessly;
Seas of lands and lands of sea.

A ray of sun breaks the darkened night,
Hollow men sleep through the light,
As millions of stars fade to naught,
The sun illuminates what we have wraught.

The once perfect balance of living and dead,
Becomes destroyed, a world now bled.
Hollow men, with full pockets, grin,
Ending the balance of sophisticated nothing.

The fine line of of our lives, now gone,
For riches that will be forgotten,
As soon as the world comes to its halt,
And we'll all know it's our own damned fault

Rion
The last verse is kind of....lacking.
