Street by street

 

Street by street, I pass people by,

Road by road, every person a possible friend,

Step by step, I walk the long journey,

Breath by breath, I will live ‘til the end.

 

Grain by grain, my life passes by,

Beat by beat, I have less to live,

Second by second, I grow older,

Tick by tick, I have nothing to give.

 

Life by death, I am only me once.
