Colors That Reach

Colors That Reach

A Poem by Aethelwyne

Feb 13, 2009

I see In shades of neon light

Beyond the human mind,

Between dawn and night

I hold the light within my soul

My heart, my body

Better whole

The past, the present, and the future stand

But I bury my regrets

In the winter sand

And when that sand should melt away

A leap of faith, a brand new day

In my world I see colors that reach

I can't change mistakes I've made

But I have my whole life

The old me will fade

Dreams aren't made of black and white

To understand them we must wait for the light

So here I will wait

Finally at peace

In my world I see colors that reach

About
Where dips the rocky highland Of Sleuth Wood in the lake, There lies a leafy island Where flapping herons wake The drowsy water-rats; There we've hid our faery vats, Full of berries .. more..
