Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Aethelwyne

I can't stand these guarded human races

I can't stand to know you're not human at all

You keep pushing me underwater

Holding me down

My wings are drowning

So finish me off

Cause there isn't much left

You're so f*****g cold

But soon I won't feel a thing

My heart wants to scream out in hatred

But my lungs are filled with water

You're so f*****g cold

Turned my tears to icicles

What happened to your warmth?

You held me in your arms

Pretty soon I won't remember

I'm so f*****g cold

No longer a disease inside of me

I am dead to you

You are dead to me

Damn you and the day we ever met

About
Where dips the rocky highland Of Sleuth Wood in the lake, There lies a leafy island Where flapping herons wake The drowsy water-rats; There we've hid our faery vats, Full of berries .. more..
