All That I Fear

All That I Fear

A Poem by Aethelwyne

The night holds all my thoughts

Like precious little notes, too many to hold inside

How do I keep them locked away?

Will I become all that I fear?

Another untouchable void in this human race?

          I see beauty in nature

The only place I can show my true face

      The scent of fresh mud,

      The sweet scent of pine

I breathe in all the life that I can find

All the memories that are mine

      Oh sweet nostalgia!

Where have you been my freind?

   Your daylight enthralls me,

 And your nightfall empowers me

Shards of broken hearts alongside my path

Some mine and some of the others

I am to blame for most of the damage

        I've finally done the math

Where dips the rocky highland Of Sleuth Wood in the lake, There lies a leafy island Where flapping herons wake The drowsy water-rats; There we've hid our faery vats, Full of berries .. more..
