October ButterfliesA Poem by Aethelwyne
Dewdrops of sun in the crisp Autumn air
I feel the warmth of a thousand turning leaves around me Dewdrops of dreams in the Autumn moonlight I feel the chill of long lost magick What keeps these beings still here With the change of the season? Searching for the last bit of essence In quiet living things The great mother reminds me of my purpose Everytime you pass by on gentle, bright wings And I hear the water I see the leaves fall But October butterflies have taken over my heart They keep me standing tall © 2011 Aethelwyne |
