A WEDDING AT BRIDAL VEIL FALLS

A WEDDING AT BRIDAL VEIL FALLS

A Poem by Michael

A picture I saw of a waterfall and some stones below.

A WEDDING AT BRIDAL VEIL FALLS

As a bride in her wedding gown
Unveiling the newest chapter,
Pure alpine treasure rolls faster
And faster closer to the crown.

Like a groom in a chestnut suit
Raptly waiting at the altar,
Undaunted stones won’t now falter;
Today a prayer-sown seed bears fruit.

The sign of God’s promise unites
Two as one where water marries
Earth, misted spray’s result tarries
Not as partners foresee new sights.

How eagerly the first runs down
Into the arms of her betrothed!
How true those ready arms enclose
Around his bride in her white gown!
