He must be the sunA Poem by Riley McKinney
He must be the sun and I must be the moon.
He burns anyone who gets too close. And I drown people with my tides. He must be the sun and I must be the moon. He left my body red and hot. I left his body cold and blue. He is the sun and I am the moon. He rises when I set. I set when he rises. He is the sun and I am the moon. We are destined to say "It's just wrong timing" our whole lives. We are destined to never quite match up. He must be the sun and I must be the moon. Always a pair but never together. © 2016 Riley McKinneyReviews
