Brush Strokes

Brush Strokes

A Poem by Riley McKinney

I'll call you an artist
Even if you don't feel like one
Because when you brushed your hand against mine,
the way Vincent did a canvas,
my soul turned into a midnight sky
and the stars in your eyes guide my colors
into the most splendid master piece
a human could ever wish to be

This is a fine poem, Riley. The comparison to art along with the brevity of this piece...wow...that's all I can say. Very good work.

That's such a lovely description, I really like how you connect doing art like painting to loving someone. Interesting and original take on it.

One of the better descriptions of "Love" I've felt.
