An Unparalleled Narcissist

An Unparalleled Narcissist

A Story by RileyRedding

We're at a club, this could be anywhere.

Someone cue control of the space-time continuum.

Now pause, let me paint this picture for you.

I'm standing at about the height of your average NBA center.

My hair is that perfect length between messy, and well groomed and it's just a touch darker than sandy-blonde.

Sitting perfectly upon my wrist is a Jaeger-LeCoultre. A watch that cost more than your sugar daddies car.

Every girl here is eying me like I'm a chocolate-cake, and they just started their period.

I'm feeling amped from the coke, and the testosterone in my system.

Hard-bodies from every corner of this dwelling, slink their way over, to the tune of Drake singing "Just hold on we're going home."

I don't want a high-horse. I want a skyscraper-podium. I want to stand as a titan, looking down at all the insects.

I want girls to beg. I want boys to bow. I want to be worshiped.

The turritopsis nutricula, "immortal jellyfish," is thought to virtually be able to live forever. It can revert aging through a process called
transdifferentiation, changing itself cellularly to keep from dying of age.

God's greatest gift, laid waste to a beast, that will never amount to more than a gelatinous blob.

Preservation of body doesn't necessitate legacy though.

What's carved in stone is little more than a stick drawing lines in the sand.

In fifty years, Facebook will just be a collective obituary.

We are simply, a complex arrangement of organized stardust, that is empowered to perceive universal creation, our very own existence, and are inevitable return to said stardust.

We're a micro-fraction of the universe experiencing itself, and still I want so much more than that.

The first piece of yours I believe that I have reviewed. Bravo, sir. The imagery here is so vivid that I can almost picture that narcissistic smile on his face haha. The ending is outstanding as well.

This was really funny. Personally, I hate chocolate cake unless it's chocolate moose cake... xD
This was a great piece, Riley! I loved it so much, and it made me smile. You should totally be a comedian:)

This is excellent! Most excellent! This character deserves to be in a book that's all about him! It could even be a 21st century American Psycho if ever written! The new Patrick Bateman! It would be so entertaining, oh please write a book?? :) :D

Thanks so much.
My problem with writing a novel, or even a novella, is that I get out so much .. read more
I also just dedicated a writing to this subject it seems to be quite the thing of the moment. When you are punished by refusals, every impulse that roams the mind seems to want to come back at us. Literally, thoughts returning to think us away! The more you resist the more our Soul grows sick from all the things that it has been forbidden. It is only obvious then that it this would permeate the whole of our pysicality as well so much so..... I think you manage to capture the essence of it so well especially that last line however just like the subject of Vampires which I'm so fan of. There are masterfull attempts created -- made to be paragons by history:

"How sad it is! I shall grow old, and horrid, and dreadful. But this picture will remain always young. It will never be older than this particular day of June. If it was only the other way! If it was I who were to be always young, and the picture that were to grow old! For this--for this--I would give everything! Yes, there is nothing in the whole world I would not give!"

Thank You.
