In Which I Find MyselfA Poem by RileyDA poem of loss, grief, and repair.
At first
There was Despair. Disrepair was Felt For what Seemed like Forever. He was Gone. He would Never come Again, and He had Said, "Get away You dirty, Good for Nothing Beast! You Do not Deserve Happiness or love!" White hot Pain Sears through You heart, Confidence And Dignity Are shattered. You try Ignoring The pain, And you Slip down Deeper into The chasm. You lose Sight Of hope. You cannot Hear Your heart. You feel Dead Inside. You do Not think You can Recover. Then, Flowers. They spring Up From sod Against All Odds. You meet Someone Who can Lift you From the Darkness. His embrace Heals The burn That lingers. It fills You With new-found Hope And Happiness. You can Spring Up Like a New flower After A harsh Winter. There is Loss. There is Grief. There is Sadness. But most Of all, There is Happiness. Never lose Sight Of happiness. Never Harden Your heart. This is The true Secret To happiness.
