The Poet's Suicide NoteA Poem by Rik KirtaniyaPretty depressing poem. Don't try this at home (or anywhere, for that matter).I stand by dusk's silent shore, Waves lapping on the fading sands, The winds swerve awry, reckless in despair, Shadows growing longer as the skies turn bland. The Man in me rebels, Calls me a coward, a fool, a squanderer, But that he is me himself, He seems not to ponder. The darkness around me thickens, Silence chokes my breath, The burden of existence weighs upon me... Welcome! Welcome, sweet Death!
