What It Means To Be "Loved"

What It Means To Be "Loved"

A Poem by Riina
"

Written in secret, something I wanted to share in my class as well with my beloved

"

It means you have somebody who won't ditch you,
Who will be there until the end,
A special person who would gladly stand up with you,
Than to trade sides and laugh at you.

It means to have somebody who will protect you,
They will go to any point to make sure you are ok,
They won't let harm come to you willingly,
They'll fight to defend your life.

It means to have that feeling only two people can share,
A feeling that is strong enough to stop the tides,
An emotion that will see you through even the darkest shadows,
One that is shared between two hearts.

It means to have somebody who will hold you,
When you are scared or frightened,
When you need comfort,
They will hold you tightly and be there until it has passed.

It means having unbreakable trustwith another,
When you are loved you share trust like no other,
Even if something seems fishy you trust it is ok,
And that all will be alright in the morning.

To be Loved means to share your life,
With a person you consider closer than anybody else in the world,
You share all the good times, the sorrows, the pains with them,
And continue on with your life with them.

What does it mean to be Loved?

These are but only a few ways to explain it,
There is no end to the reasons and ways to it,
But the true explanation that I see is,

It means to be Loved,
When they love you just as much,
If not more,
And are just happy with that and don't ask for more.
