Cry of a True Heart

The tears shed when one feels the impending flow of danger...Are the only true ones...

There is a time when a heart can feel overwhelming joy,

To this girl it is when she sees this boy,

But with the new year comes a threat,

A life tossed into the bet.

 

A war rages far off in the East,

One this young girl doesn't like in the least,

The threat of impending doom pulses from there,

Sending shocks throughout every strand of hair.

 

This war this battle could take away many lives and a loved one,

This war that takes place where with the cruel cruel hot sun,

The threat pulses from home too under the moon,

A threat to take away the one loved all too soon.

 

This girl prays and hopes against this threat,

That means to take away the boy shes loves and met,

The girl wishes to fight this uncontrollable force,

And make it take a less deadly course.

 

If somebody reads this simple plea,

Let them know and see,

This war shall rip two lovers apart,

Leaving the girl with nothing more than a Cry From A True Heart.

....As true as it can ever be....I beg for the military not to take him away....
