Endless Promise

My daydream of 3 weeks from this current date, Caused by me being envious of my friend and her boyfriend. I can't help but be envious of her receiving a promise ring, such a sweet gesture...

Cold falls and leaves change,

Our hearts unite on an endless range,

October will bring some a scare,

For us it'll bring us together as a pair.

 

It's been so long since I felt so at peace,

Finally relaxed not stressed in the least,

Yet my greed and wish to let it be known,

To the whole world and not just us alone.

 

Materialistic but for a good cause,

Saw it at a store when I stopped for a pause,

Simple and cheap,

Yet all would know of our hearts' great leap.

 

Not that of an engagement surely not yet,

And not that of a marriage set,

One such as I just cannot deny,

The wanting of a simple little Promise Ring from their special guy.

 

I wish I could restrain my greed,

Such a distateful emotion and deed,

But I can't resist my most revent daydream,

Of having physical representation that would so brightly gleam.

 

Forgive my ever persistant need,

For stuff through greed,

But it would leave me something to always and never forget,

The day we first met.

 

And started our Endless Promise...
