Water and the river

Water and the river

A Poem by Alias Fletcher
"

loving you

"

I am the water, you are the river

I seek the ocean, you show me the way

You shape me, make me, and complete me...

so... looking on your face

Your beautiful face, I say...

What is the water, without the river?

A river without water runs empty,

A useless vessel in a lonely desert

And yet the water without the river

Is only a longing and a misty tear

That clouds the darking skies

so... as in a kiss, I know

We are nothing, nothing at all,

Nothing without each other-

the river & its waters

A amazing poem. Your description using the water and the ocean is strong and meaningful. To need someone like water to the sea is what love should be. A excellent poem.
