This feat required syc'd spells...

Almost impossible, since they had no idea where the other resided

 

Never the less, their intense desire and inspirational chanting

Forced the far flung universal space fabric to seed the spell

(only through chance permutations of their quark computers)

 

After the connect, they agreed upon a one year trial...

 

At first the m'lting&m'xg

Caused only a diffuse awareness of the other

Little actions changed- Margo would reach for her f'v drink

And grab some unknown mixture. And enjoy it!

 

Or Davin would stop to consider whether or not he should

throw all the laundry together, or separate the whites.

 

They loved it/hated it.

There was a loss of identity, yet a gain of understanding.

 

Ever since conception they strove for self

Now there was the m'lting&mxg... they had self, but

At first they felt the differences, then finally, self returned, but

The they ceased to exist. Now only the m'lting&mxg existed.

 

After the trial ended, they returned to who they were.

This was a little scary, because they might never find each other.

The magic, the spells and the quarks might never syc.

 

And it never would... still they had the m'lting&mxg

They just didn't know it.

I kept getting an impression of that scene in Key Largo (I believe it was) where Bogie says "Well always have Paris." Can you imagine what it would have been like if they had lived like this? :) Really good write.
