Close the door, Turn the key

Hit the throttle

And let it melt away

Leave everything behind,

Just take what you have in your heart

You’ve got all the time in the world.

 

Drive into the sunset

Like a regular John Wayne.

No particular destination,

Just keep going until the road ends

Pull the top down,

And let the warm sun shine down on your face

Let the wind dry away your tears

 

Race the clouds

To beat the rain

It’ll come down soon, anyway

The roar of the engine,

It’s the like roar of in your heart

Nothing can break you down.

Not today

 

Let it out

Scream loud,

At the top of your lungs,

Just get it out and leave it behind

It’s all uphill from here,

Right?

 

Running away isn’t solving anything,

But that won’t stop you from trying.

It feels good just to get away

That’s all you really wanted.

 

Don’t let them stop you,

You do what you need to do

It’s all planned,

Just waiting for your first step

It doesn’t matter what happened then

It only makes you stronger in the end.

 

That is,

If it doesn’t kill you first.
