Started off as a song, ended up as a poem

 

They don’t' understand,

What it means to be in love,
Taking every opportunity

Not giving a second thought to emotion.

Just taking whats up for grabs,

Not using the effort,

To get what really makes you happy.

 

I don’t mean to sound too attached,

But to you I hold out my hand,

For as long as you need me,

I trust that you’ll believe me,

With you there's no pretend.

There’s no need for that anymore.

There’s no playing hard to get here,
You’ve got me in the palm of your hand.

It’s not just another façade,

I know that you love me

For the real me inside.

Of things in your past.

It makes no difference,

It’s all the same.

Its not then,

It’s now that matters.

The new die has been cast.                              

With you, there’s no turning back

                                

I'll be here for you
How ever long it lasts
I'll always remember

I’ll be beside you forever
I mean it

Until the bitter end
