Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Sherriff

Is there anyone out there to act on a whim,
to hear my voice and see through this thin,
transparent tragedy tearing entangling,
my words ebb and flow my thoughts slowly strangling/
Does one need recognition,
for ones creating,
can perfect words be held in one statement,
my foundations flooded dragging these fixtures,
roots in the ground ripped out and twisted,
these violent constants consistently caress,
my profound persistence,
resilience at best.
~
Does one delve deeper
Or lose to comfort and spite,
a wanderer of words I ignite your insight/
Like propane to shed,
burning fragments of light,
starving I frame minds,
contort and proclaim lies.

I enjoyed this one as I have similar thoughts. I do hear ya. It is a nice read. I am surprised only 39 views. We should never delve deeper. Seriously been there. Not worth it. It would help to clean up the punctuation a tick with question marks maybe, but I love this. Thank you for sharing this.
