His Life

His Life

A Poem by Riddhi Sharma

A boy still lives,
Who is in his teens.

Born on fifteenth,
The month eleventh,
And year 2006th.

He had no siblings,
So craved for things.

He was all alone,
All he did was mourn,
For his undead siblings gone.

His age passed,
In tranquil life.

His life was burdened,
Walking with a loud trod.

He was stressed,
Other name for pissed.

Then came a period,
To see the dying dead.

He was mentally stressed,
Worse than physically stressed.

His life continues,
With both ups,
And also downs.

Got a little confused with this...as to whether his siblings had passed on or he just never had any.
But either way....stress, boredom, loneliness, having friends or siblings die...
he gets through it...the ups and downs will not let up, those will follow him his whole life.
He must accept this truth. I would eliminate the word "pissed" and use a synonym.
Only because it draws too much attention in this piece...almost like it was just put there for shock value rather than really being part of the poem.
