FrailA Poem by Ricohard
The walls are high
They are strong He has learnt to build To block out No one in and no one out Lives in darkness, in pain But he would rather his pain Than the pain of others Learnt not to depend on humans They are pain The Doc knew his patient all too well Hes in a box, chained it shut, Liquefied the key and drank its essence Hes not letting anyone in Pull the right chains though, and it all unravels But then you have all walls down Emotional, all out, full trust, full dependence Vulnerable to the slightest pinch Which would be worse To let him live in his pain Or to give him hope and seeing it Crushed with the pain of humans I was that boy, he was me Scared to fail, Im nothing but frail © 2008 RicohardReviews
