Lessons and Repercussions

Poem #16

A white man was
Having a discussion
With his son about
Lessons and
Repercussions
Offering him some
Insight about this
Thing called "life"
See son,
The highway of
Equality and Purity may
Go any and
Everywhere
But to people
Who look like us
Equal Access
Shouldn't be fair
And that everyone
Shouldn't have the right
To be on there
As this privilege should
Be granted
Not to those with
Dark skin or
Whose eyes are slanted
But to those
With white teeth and
Fair skin like ours
So in order
To make this happen
We need to shut
Down the borders
Close the gates and
Erect walls
Keeping them all
In their own country
So we can be
Free to eat tacos
On Tuesday
As Taco Bell
Will be allowed to
Sell Nachos Bell Grande
To any hombre
That is here legally
Providing that their
Papers are in order
Or they Jalapeno
Habanero
Non-English
Sombrero wearing
Asses will be shipped
Back to the border
Now what's your order
Ese?
As
Pork is the other
"White" meat that
You may eat
As they call it
Carnitas
Which shows
That they are
Indeed beneath us
But soon son
You'll
Want to kill yourself
Some
Coon
Or possibly
Some
Possum
Or even some
2 legged deer
By putting some
Buck shots
In the back
Of a Black Buck
Remember
N***a babies
Make great
Gator Bait
And remember
Jiggaboos won't survive
If you skin them alive
And keep their hides
As a "prize" to help
You realize
That some people should
Be treated as animals
Because they are all
Thugs and Criminals
It was at this moment
He suddenly stopped
So they both could
"Own" it
That's when
He hugged his son
And  ended the discussion
Because he felt like
He was fussing
Saying to his son
That there will be
Plenty more time
To speak on the situation
And to teach him more about
Lessons and Repercussions

Clearly a powerful message and one this country should address. Let me say I feel all races in my opinion need to work on not only how we relay to strangers but also how we relay to our own kind. Endless murdering not just killing but barbaric killing all in an effort not to get caught and guess what happoens? Yes, they still get caught. This piece shines a like on what needs to be addressed so thank you for that and let hope we all can become better people because that makes a better tomorrow, thanks.

What timing!
I happen to be watching Biden's town hall meeting, and right as I am reading this poem, he is talking about
equality, talking about refugees...
everyone has the right to be human to be respected to be part of society.
absolutely.
