When I Ate SPAM A LOTA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyPolitical and Socially Conscious Free Verse Poetry
I grew up poor
So when mom Went to the store She would come back With a couple cans Of Spam So needless To say I ate Spamalot As she would serve it With eggs and A side of grits I have to admit How much I hated it Because Spam was like Green Eggs and Ham So it was no use Not even Dr. Seuss Could get me to like it Glad my name was Never, ever Was Sam I am Now years later What I got is Spamalot in my Inbox that never Stops It keeps on haunting Me This time not in my stomach But in technology Showing up in reviews Obscuring my political views Clogging up my emails Causing my messages To fail I am unable to filter out This mess As this rhetoric SPeaks Against Me (S.P.A.M.) Do you know who I am? Nefarious AKA Mr. Serious AKA Mr. Furious
