Wear The MaskA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. DorseyFree Verse/ Political and Socially Conscious PoetryWear The Mask When you are up to no good It is okay to wear a hood At your local KKK rally but you Refuse to wear a mask when asked Because the need to breathe will indeed Require unity In order to succeed Yet, we bleed because Many believe that it is a hoax That is only killing Black folks If it is a joke Who is laughing now? Hate me, hate us later but This situation is greater Than hate You not wearing mask Puts us all at risk By doing this You are Killing us and our economy All because you hate me You hate us So you won't wear a mask So now I am forced to ask Why is it okay To wear a hood When you are up to no good At the LOCAL KKK rally You are VOCAL and Compliant there but Defiant elsewhere All I ask is for you To wear the mask So we can get rid of Covid-19 and get Our lives back on track Because we each have to Do our part Individually and collectively And that is a fact Because true Victory will require unity So again, I ask for you to Wear the mask! 01200300002020 Nefarious J.
