IndigenousA Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
My sojourn started
The day I was born And has carried on And moved on Taken a million miles From the Nile Meanwhile Kings and Queens That came from the Motherland Lost their crowns and scepters In another land As cuneiform took another form Forced to perform The next chapter The interlude was brief? But the grief Was long lasting Hair that was straighten By nuts and fruit Now has become Matted and coarse Intercourse forced As voices become hoarse As chariots drawn by horses Bring laughter As Kings and Queens Are reduced to that Of a jester Mockery Indigenous people Not seen as equal As the calls of the Baptist Will not be heard Situation needs decapitation As migration into African Nations Has us facing extinction Sphincter muscles tighten Defecation is heighten As butt holes are impaled By poles that pierce black souls No more Gods to hold or exalt As salt seeps in the wound The end is coming soon? No more praying to Ra or Ptah Where is Ma’at? (Goddess of justice, truth and of order) In fact IsIs is not righteous She too has turned her back Now forced to pray everyday To one God YAHWEH-NISSI "The Lord Our Banner" (Exodus 17:15) YAHWEH-JIREH: "The Lord Will Provide" (Genesis 22:14, Forced to walk through the fire Polytheistic thoughts Are ripped from the heart And torn apart as Monotheistic beliefs Now cause more grief As God now has blonde Hair and blue eyes It was inevitable that Ra had to die Migration and colonization Killed African Nations Indigenous no more Fighting a war That they can never win Being tossed in the wind When will it end? © 2016 Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J.
