Nothing Has Changed

Nothing Has Changed

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey

Half tea and half lemonade
Being sipped in the shade
Dark skin being whipped
For mistakes that God has Made?
While injustice flows down
The cracks of black asses
As blood mixes with molasses
Making a preserve that Master
Feels they all deserve
As injustice is served
Via ropes, nooses and chains
Jim Crow laughing
Over and over again
Cause many, many years later
Nothing has changed
